Ben Champell

Ben Champell´s sound is a mix of dark pressing techno beats and hooking melodic tech-house tunes all in a lower range of speed than techno music is usually played.

He is calling it “Downtempo Techno”. Within the past 8 years Ben released his tracks & remixes on labels like Funk´n Deep, Complexed Records, Stick Recordings or Jannowitz Records to name only a few.

Musicwise his homebase he found at Complexed Records the imprint of techno legend Drumcomplex and Blufin Records based in Cologne. Since 2012 Ben has been always productive, he composed over 190 original tracks and did remixes for artists like Drumcomplex, Belocca, Ash Roy or Omis (Italy). He also gets huge support from some big names of the business like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Veerus (Drumcode), Claude van Stroke, DJ Hell and many others constantly.
Ben built a reputation for playing powerful and dynamic sets in clubs and open-air festivals around Europe including his personal highlights Decadance in Gent (Belgium), Waagenbau in Hamburg, Muck in Giessen alongside lots of big names from the industry.

He also is a well-known guest artist at Sisyphos Berlin where he smashed the legendary Hammahalle or Dampfer with his 4-5 hours sets.
The latest releases on the market where on Complexed Records in collaboration with label head Drumcomplex and on BluFin Records.

Upcoming tracks and remixes on Railroad Recordings and Sonusfield are going to be released very soon.

Ben Champells Sound ist eine Mischung aus dunklen, treibenden Techno-Beats und eingängigen, melodischen
Tech-House-Melodien.

Das Ganze gespielt mit einer geringeren Geschwindigkeit als Techno-Musik „normalerweise“ gespielt wird.
In den letzten 8 Jahren veröffentlichte Ben seine Tracks & Remixe auf Labels wie Funk’n Deep, Complexed Records, Stick Recordings; Soupherb Records oder Jannowitz Records, um nur einige zu nennen.

Musikalisch fand er seine „Homebase“ bei Complexed Records dem Imprint der Techno-Legende Drumcomplex und Blufin Records mit Sitz in Köln. Seit 2012 ist Ben stets produktiv, er komponierte über 200 Originaltracks und erstellte Remixe für Künstler wie Drumcomplex, Belocca, Ash Roy oder Ornis (Italien).

2020 hat er seine eigene Radiosendung Global Grooves wiederbelebt. Einmal im Monat lädt er Gäste aus der ganzen Welt ein und präsentiert frische Techno-Tracks in einem einstündigen DJ-Mix.

Die letzten Veröffentlichungen hatte Ben auf Complexed Records (Zusammenarbeit mit Labelchef Drumcomplex, Track: BluFin Records und Le Club Records (Label von Drumcode Artist Veerus
auf Blufin Records und Railroad Recordings.
